Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former prince, has been apprehended under suspicion of misconduct in public office, as confirmed by Thames Valley Police on his 66th birthday.

Authorities reported that Mr. Windsor is currently in custody, and searches are ongoing at residences in Berkshire and Norfolk. This development follows a comprehensive review of a complaint regarding the alleged distribution of confidential information to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Earlier today, images captured vehicles arriving at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, marking the onset of the investigation.

In an official statement, Thames Valley Police remarked:

"As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are conducting searches at several addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

The individual remains in police custody at this moment. We will not disclose the name of the arrested person, adhering to national guidelines. It is also crucial to note that the case is active, and caution should be exercised with any reporting to avoid contempt of court."

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright elaborated:

"After a meticulous assessment, we have initiated an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.

It is essential that we maintain the integrity and impartiality of our investigation while collaborating with our partners to probe this alleged offense. We are aware of the considerable public interest surrounding this matter and will release updates at the appropriate times."

Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently and vehemently denied any allegations of wrongdoing.
