Meanwhile, Plateau United showcased determination as they battled Remo Stars to a 2–1 victory, even with the hosts reduced to ten players early in the game. Jonathan put Plateau ahead in the 28th minute, and although Albert Korvah equalized for Remo shortly after the hour mark, Harrison Ebah's stunning goal in stoppage time clinched all three points for Plateau United amidst earlier travel disruptions.
In a separate development, the match between El Kanemi Warriors and Kun Khalifat was officially postponed as the latter did not arrive in Maiduguri for the scheduled fixture. Following league protocols, match officials waited for the standard 15 minutes before declaring the game as abandoned, with further decisions forthcoming from league organizers.
