The Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has called on Nigerians to exhibit greater nationalism by rallying behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government in light of the crises plaguing nations globally.
Barau issued this call on Friday while engaging with journalists at the National Eid Ground in Abuja, following the two-rak‘ah Eid prayer overseen by Professor Illiasu Usman from the National Mosque. He noted that a united front in support of the federal administration would expedite Nigeria's progression towards prosperity under President Tinubu's leadership.
He remarked that the profound global consequences of the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East should suffice to unify Nigerians in support of their government as it seeks to effectively manage the repercussions.
"What we need at this time is to continue supporting Mr. President and keep praying for him to succeed in his efforts to bring prosperity to our nation," Barau stated.
He further commented, "The world is replete with challenges and Nigeria is not exempted. Those of us working closely with him understand his commitment to achieving success."
Additionally, Barau congratulated the Muslim community in Nigeria and worldwide for the successful conclusion of Ramadan, offering prayers for unity and wisdom for the leaders of the nation.
