A seven-year-old child along with three other persons were injured in a recent bus accident that took place at Kwaita village, situated on the Abuja–Lokoja highway.
According to an eyewitness, the incident involved an 18-seater Hiace bus, with the registration number GWA 219 XA.
The eyewitness noted that the bus, which was transporting passengers from the Eastern part of Nigeria to the Northern region, lost control and crashed into a ditch after veering off the road.
As a result of the collision, the injured individuals, including the child, were promptly taken to Kwali General Hospital for medical attention.
A representative from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who was involved in the rescue operation and chose to remain unnamed, confirmed the occurrence of the accident.
He indicated that the accident was likely caused by loss of control and excessive speeding, and confirmed that the injured parties were being treated at Kwali General Hospital.
