President Donald Trump is under fire for derogatory comments about Gavin Newsom, leading to a public condemnation from Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom.
White House spokesperson, Davis Ingle, commented to TMZ: “President Trump is right. Gavin Newscum is the worst governor in America, and he also may be the dumbest.”
In response, Jennifer Newsom posted a video on Instagram critiquing Trump’s statements, which many perceived as mocking individuals with learning differences. She emphasized that such challenges do not determine one’s capabilities and suggested that ridiculing them reflects poorly on the individual making the comments.
She pointed out that individuals who face learning differences often exert more effort to demonstrate their abilities. She specifically redirected her remarks toward Trump, asserting that his actions prompt questions about his own qualifications.
Jennifer also expressed her disapproval of the Republican Party, accusing it of “normalizing this vile specimen of a human being.” This exchange follows Trump’s disparaging remarks about Newsom in a White House address, where he labeled him as having a “low IQ” and stated: “I’m all for people with learning disabilities, but not for my president.”
Moreover, Trump stated: “Everything about him is dumb.” These comments have exacerbated the existing political discord between Trump and Newsom, who have consistently clashed over various issues related to policy and governance.
