Cardi B found herself in a verbal clash with Homeland Security on X (previously Twitter) after expressing her views on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Launching her "Little Miss Drama" tour in California's Coachella Valley on February 11, the artist encouraged concert attendees to defend themselves against any ICE agents who might appear at her shows.
"I’ve got some bear mace in the back. It's like the mafia in this," she reportedly stated to the audience at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, as shared in a video clip on social media.
The Department of Homeland Security later reacted to Cardi B's comments on X, referencing remarks she made during a viral Instagram livestream in 2019 where she discussed previously drugging and robbing clients in a strip club.
"As long as she doesn't drug and rob our agents, we’ll see that as a step up from her previous actions," Homeland Security posted on X on February 12.
In response, Cardi B posted on X, bringing attention to the Justice Department’s ongoing release of documents from the investigation into accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein since December: "If we’re talking about drugs, let’s discuss Epstein and associates drugging underage girls for assault. Why is there a reluctance to talk about the Epstein files?"
A review by the New York Times, published on February 1, noted that Donald Trump’s name and his Mar-a-Lago resort are mentioned 38,000 times within 5,300 files released by the Justice Department on January 30, although several files seem to be duplicates.
