Comedian Broda Shaggi Admitted to Hospital Following Alleged Shooting During Skit Filming

Comedian Broda Shaggi has been hospitalized after being allegedly shot while creating a skit.

The entertainer, whose real name is Samuel Perry, reportedly suffered the injury on Sunday afternoon, March 8, under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State.

According to a source from the police, Broda Shaggi was promptly transported by his crew to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos, where he received initial medical attention.

The source revealed that the medical staff at Blooming Care provided first aid upon his arrival. Subsequently, he was referred to Duchess Hospital located in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja, where he is currently recovering.

As for the details regarding the shooting, including the identity of the shooter, no information has been disclosed.

Abimbola Adebisi, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the incident to the press, mentioning that the police were notified by the hospital staff.

"The hospital reached out to report that a gunshot victim had been admitted. Detectives and a patrol team were quickly dispatched to the hospital, where they identified the victim as the popular skit maker and social media influencer Broda Shaggi.

"He was found on a stretcher with a thigh injury. Although the shooting occurred in Sango-Ota, which is outside our jurisdiction, we are still conducting an investigation," she stated.
