Cristiano Ronaldo Resumes Playing After Resolving Al-Nassr Dispute

Cristiano Ronaldo, the celebrated footballer, has reportedly called off his strike regarding his participation in matches for Al-Nassr.

The 41-year-old forward had been absent from two games in the Saudi Pro League, specifically the recent 2-0 victory over Al Ittihad as well as the previous week's match against Al Riyadh, despite earning a staggering £448,000 a week in salary.

Sources indicate that Ronaldo was upset with the lack of ambition shown in the transfer window. This discontent was exacerbated when he observed league competitor Al-Hilal sign his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad.

According to reports, the Portugal national team captain is expected to rejoin the team for their upcoming match against Al Fateh on February 14.

Furthermore, it is believed that Al-Nassr has restored certain authority to directors Jose Semedo and Simao Coutinho, both of whom had reportedly faced restrictions that hindered the club's ability to make transfers during the January window.

Semedo, who developed a close friendship with Ronaldo, took on the role of chief executive at Al-Nassr last July, while Coutinho also joined the club in a director's capacity over the summer.

However, Ronaldo has also expressed frustration regarding unequal treatment within the club, noting delays in salary payments for staff.

In response to these grievances, Al-Nassr is thought to have settled any outstanding payments to encourage Ronaldo to return to the field.

The former Manchester United forward is now preparing for his comeback not during the AFC Cup away match against Turkmenistan's Arkadag but when the Saudi Pro League resumes on Saturday against Al-Fateh.
