Detoun Calls for Ban of King Mitchy from Social Media Following Alleged Suicide Attempts

Activist Detoun Onabanjo has urged for the removal of influencer King Mitchy from all social media platforms, following allegations that she faked two suicide attempts during a live broadcast.

Detoun has reported the incident to the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police and has initiated communication with their official Instagram account concerning King Mitchy's actions.

During the live session, King Mitchy purportedly consumed harmful substances while claiming to attempt suicide, a stunt reportedly triggered by an online disagreement with the social commentator known as Very Dark Man. In addition, she issued a press release alleging hospitalization in Abuja due to the incident; however, the hospital has denied any record of her admission and knowledge of the situation.

A video from Detoun addressing the issue has been shared, calling attention to the grave implications of such actions on the youth audience observing online.
