Dettol, one of Nigeria’s top hygiene brands, has launched the second installment of its #OwnTheSweat campaign featuring the Dettol Cool Soap. This campaign is designed to inspire Nigerians to adopt active living while safeguarding against germs and body odor.

As part of #OwnTheSweat2.0, Dettol Cool plans to set up pop-up events in gyms located in major Nigerian cities such as Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt over the upcoming two months. Given that more than 80% of Nigerians are commuters and commonly experience temperatures between 25°C to 35°C, sweating is a common reality. Dettol Cool Soap is formulated to help individuals remain fresh and self-assured, no matter the heat. It provides 99% protection against germs, delivers a cooling effect that reduces skin temperature by as much as 5°C, and offers long- lasting defense against body odor, making it an essential hygiene companion for people on the go.

Through the organized gym pop-ups, Dettol Cool will collaborate with selected fitness centers to host engaging activities and fitness challenges that will assess participants’ endurance, agility, and confidence, while emphasizing the brand’s commitment to supporting active lifestyles and Nigeria’s evolving fitness culture.

Moreover, the campaign will extend to educational institutions via the Cool School Pop-up initiative, which aims to introduce younger Nigerians to the importance of freshness, protection, and self-confidence, thereby encouraging healthy hygiene habits among students.

Regarding the second phase of the campaign, Marketing Director at Reckitt West Africa, Boma Harrison, remarked, "The success of the first edition of Dettol Cool #OwnTheSweat demonstrated that Nigerians with active lifestyles are keen to embrace Dettol’s cooling confidence centered on hygiene. With #OwnTheSweat2.0, we are broadening our outreach through gyms and schools, allowing more Nigerians to celebrate active living and maintain their confidence, knowing they are safeguarded by Dettol Cool."

With the launch of #OwnTheSweat2.0, Dettol Cool continues to reaffirm its commitment to ensuring 99% germ protection and providing cooling confidence for Nigerians leading active, fast-paced lives. To keep up with news about the #OwnTheSweat2.0 campaign, follow @dettolnigeria on Instagram.
