Governor Dauda Lawal has encouraged the Muslim ummah to amplify their prayers for peace in Zamfara State and nationwide.
He made this appeal while congratulating Muslims on completing their 30-day Ramadan fast.
Governor Lawal emphasized that Eid El-Fitr signifies the conclusion of the holy month, during which Muslims engage in fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.
"I extend my congratulations to the Muslim community in Zamfara and across Nigeria as we conclude the 30-day Ramadan fast, marking this year’s Eid El- Fitr, known as the ‘festival of breaking the fast,’" he stated.
"Eid El-Fitr is a time of joy, symbolizing gratitude, unity, and rejuvenation. It serves as an opportunity to deepen our prayers for peace in our cherished state and throughout the country."
He remarked that the fasting period fosters qualities such as patience, self- discipline, empathy, spiritual awareness, and a stronger connection with the Divine.
"To enhance living conditions in Zamfara and Nigeria as a whole, we must stand together. It is our collective duty to support one another and strive for a brighter future for both our state and our nation," he added.
The governor concluded by wishing everyone a peaceful Eid celebration, hoping for blessings of good health, tranquility, and a flourishing economy in the future.
