Nancy Sabanti Nathan, the Acting Head of the Civil Service for the Federal Capital Territory (FCTA), has ordered all Permanent Secretaries and Department Heads within the FCTA to implement and enforce attendance registers for staff without delay.

This directive was issued in a circular dated January 27, following a ruling by Justice E. D. Subilim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, which directed the suspension of the ongoing strike led by the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC).

Nathan emphasized that all personnel working in the secretariats, departments, and agencies of the FCTA are expected to return to their duties immediately to ensure that government operations proceed uninterrupted.

In the communicated directive aimed at Secretaries of Mandate Secretariats, Coordinators of area councils, and Permanent Secretaries, she highlighted that adherence to the court's order is essential. Additionally, she reassured that the push for staff resumption aligns with the FCTA Management's ongoing commitment to the welfare of its workforce.

Moreover, Nathan instructed senior officials to ensure that the details of this circular are effectively relayed to all staff members to facilitate complete and prompt adherence to the court's ruling.

This initiative is part of the FCTA's broader efforts to restore operational order and normal functioning within its administrative framework following the recent industrial action.
