The wife and daughter of the late Anglican priest from Kaduna, Venerable Edwin Achi, have reportedly been set free after enduring more than two months as captives.

According to reports from Linda Ikeji's blog, the priest, alongside his wife Sarah Achi and their child, was abducted on October 28, 2025, from their home in the Nissi community located in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Initially, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of 600 million Naira, but later decreased their demand to 200 million Naira.

They also threatened the family with severe consequences if the ransom was not paid.

The kidnappers circulated images of the priest and his wife as evidence that they were alive and held captive.

Tragically, the abductors murdered the priest before the ransom deadline expired, as reported.
