Please, Help Our Princess!
Renowned Nigerian comedienne, Princess, has set aside her pride and appealed to several famous pastors in Nigeria for help in finding a husband. The comedian, who was at the center of the controversy involving Yoruba film star, Baba Ijesha, who was sentenced to five years in prison for the sexual molestation of a minor, shared an astonishing video earlier this week where she called upon prominent religious leaders—including Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Pastor Jerry Eze, and Apostle Selman—to assist her in her quest for love.
Princess is on the lookout for a man in his late 40s to early 50s who is kind and loving. This is not merely a jest. T4T observed the video, noting that Princess seems to be a woman who has experienced much and is in urgent need of companionship following a tumultuous first marriage that lasted less than two years. She confidently described herself as a woman who would greatly enhance any man's life, asserting that she could be “the sweetest thing to ever happen” to someone, promising a partner true peace in their relationship. Princess has the charisma of a brand manager; she certainly knows how to market herself, and in this context, she is the product.
Moreover, to add a twist, Princess currently resides in the UK, and this piece of information is not intended to attract insincere gold-diggers in Nigeria who might be masquerading as devout churchgoers. She is genuinely searching for a dedicated, God-fearing man with whom she can build a home. Interestingly, in her video, Princess did not disclose her age. Having followed her career since she emerged in the comedy scene nearly two decades ago, T4T estimates her age to be in her mid-40s—around 44 to 47 years old—which suggests that she may actually be seeking a partner in his 50s, ideally a divorced or widowed man who is also God-fearing. Regardless, T4T wishes her well and is putting the word out on her behalf for potential suitors. Princess is remarkable. T4T fondly recalls the times she frequented the celebrity restaurant, O’jez, in Lagos, where she was a delight to be around among many top celebrities. So, potential husbands, Princess is a good woman; her first marriage failed, but she hasn’t harmed anyone.
Zazzu And His Morbid Fear Of Police
When T4T was younger, he was known as the troublemaker in the home, and one can only imagine how organized a household of two teacher parents must have been. However, the near perfection of that environment seemed to create a sense of dissatisfaction in T4T, leading him to wreak havoc in various ways. His parents soon discovered that he would freeze in fear at the sight of a policeman, no matter the situation. This revelation brought them immense joy, as they believed they had identified his main weakness.
Consequently, every time T4T was about to get into trouble, like a soccer player gearing up to play for the Super Eagles but, in his case, wanting to deconstruct his parents' house, a simple threat of calling the police was enough to halt his antics. They even collaborated with an elderly neighbor, Baba ‘Obrosho’ (known for his unkindness), who often wore a khaki outfit and would periodically pop by to play the role of a mean policeman. This tactic proved effective until T4T grew up, realizing his parents had been playing him all along, while simultaneously leaving behind his childish rebellious behaviors.
Why does T4T share this brief anecdote? He sees in the controversial Afrobeat star, Portable—often referred to as Zazzu—a reflection of his own childhood anxieties regarding the police. However, the irony is that Zazzu is a fully grown man who exhibits a startling fear of the police, reminiscent of T4T's experiences as a child. Just a few days ago, a video emerged showing Zazzu, who previously boasted of being a ‘Baboon in the Zoo’, being taken away in handcuffs, crying like a frightened teenager caught stealing. His cries were met with jeers from bystanders. Shortly thereafter, he was brought before a High Court in Ogun State facing serious charges, including assault against his estranged partner, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer, among others. As you read this, T4T can confidently state that Zazzu is currently in a correctional facility in Ogun State, possibly working on a new song to be released upon his bail on Monday.
This echoes a previous incident when he was last housed in the same facility about two years ago after allegedly commanding his associates to assault police officers. What baffles T4T is the contradiction in Zazzu's character. He often projects an image of toughness, readily engaged in various forms of trouble, yet the moment law enforcement arrives, he turns into someone entirely different, a mere jellyfish dependent on their mercy.
