Instagram is rolling out a highly anticipated feature that enables users to rearrange their carousel posts post-publication.
Effective immediately, users can now change the positions of photos and videos in their carousel posts after they have been published.
As per Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, the new functionality allows users to long- press and drag their media within a carousel to reorder them.
This innovation means users can adjust their post layout at any time, whether correcting an error or simply altering their preference.
Previously, the only solution for a disorganized carousel was to delete the entire post and start afresh. Now, users can edit the sequence without having to remove their post from their profile.
It's important to note that while users can rearrange the content and even remove certain photos or videos after the post is live, they are still unable to add new media to an already-existing carousel.
Currently, the feature is being rolled out gradually to users worldwide.
