There's a unique embrace that envelops you when entering a room graced with the perfect fragrance. Before the decor captures your attention or greetings are exchanged, the scent speaks volumes — it feels familiar, comforting, and subtly luxurious. This essence resonated at Isibhaho’me’s Scent Collection Launch, a private gathering which introduced participants to a brand redefining the role of fragrance in personal spaces.

The event took place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Socialiase Studios in Lagos, feeling less like a typical product launch and more like an invitation into an artfully arranged home. Gentle conversations floated through the ambience as cocktails were enjoyed, with guests exploring various diffusers and taking in scents that were equally grounding and indulgent.

At the heart of this initiative is Taiwo Fashipe, the founder of Isibhaho’me, a connoisseur of luxury and gifts whose passion for creating beautiful environments naturally transitioned into a home fragrance line rooted in emotion. Originally starting with curated gifts for discerning clients, her vision has deepened into a mission to design fragrances that instill a sense of welcome in any environment.

"For us, scent transcends just how a location smells," Taiwo expressed. "Each encounter should evoke the desire to linger — be it in a hotel or one's own residence. When guests enter and remark, 'Your home smells lovely,' that encapsulates the essence we aim to convey. I simply adore spaces that smell wonderful, and that sentiment is at the core of Isibhaho’me."

The brand name, Isibhaho’me, holds significant personal significance for Taiwo as it is derived from her Edo heritage and was passed down from her late mother. The translation means, "the place you have come to is good," a phrase that perfectly aligns with the brand's essence — to cultivate environments that instill safety, warmth, and familiarity while maintaining elegance.

Each product within the collection embodies this philosophy. Hand-poured candles and meticulously crafted diffusers are designed not only to scent a room but also to evoke mood, trigger memories, and impart tranquility. During an interview, Taiwo emphasized that a great fragrance should be as reassuring as home itself, a lingering comfort after leaving the space.

Since debuting in December 2025, Isibhaho’me has been warmly received. Attendees at the launch sampled fragrances featuring warm vanilla and soft sandalwood, instinctively responding to scents that felt deeply personal and soothing. It became evident that the brand struck an emotional chord with its audience.

Establishing a lifestyle brand in Nigeria presents its share of hurdles, and Taiwo candidly acknowledges the sacrifices involved in such a journey. "Personal sacrifice is an intrinsic part of this process," she reflected. "Investment is crucial for achieving a quality experience. We are committed to this path because we believe in the beauty of our creations."

Looking forward, Taiwo envisions Isibhaho’me extending far beyond the software launch, aspiring to see the brand flourish in homes, offices, hotels, and any environment where individuals seek comfort.

"The feedback since our introduction in December has been exceptional," she noted. "From the product presentation to the reception of the fragrances, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. We are only starting our journey. In the upcoming months, we plan to unveil new scents and accompanying accessories. Indeed, the possibilities are limitless."

Above all else, Isibhaho’me is distinguished by its intention. Each diffuser and candle serves as a subtle reminder that true luxury does not need to make a loud statement; sometimes, it is simply about feeling like home.
