Jimmy Kimmel has harshly criticized Donald Trump over threats related to media reporting on the Iran war, further fueling their ongoing public rivalry.

In a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel accused Trump of targeting television networks via U.S. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr.

Kimmel referred to Carr as Trump's "attack schnauzer" after Carr made a post on X alleging that broadcasters were disseminating "hoaxes and news distortions" and cautioned them to "correct course before their license renewals come up."

Carr also indicated that television networks risk losing their licenses if they do not "operate in the public interest," claiming that the media has "earned itself the label of fake news." Kimmel firmly rejected this assertion, stating, "the First Fatso made that up and you ran with it."

The late-night host went on to accuse Trump of seeking to revoke licenses from media outlets that he opposes, and he sarcastically suggested that journalists ought to emulate Jake Paul, referring to his recent interview with Trump.

These comments occur amidst ongoing disputes between Trump and key broadcasters, including earlier threats directed at ABC affiliates airing Kimmel’s program, following controversial monologues about political matters.
