In a statement made on Tuesday by the group's secretary, Dr. Salim Musa Umar, it was confirmed that investigations have revealed further victims within the Muslim community. The statement detailed: “The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Plateau State Chapter, regrets to confirm the death of four Muslims and reports ten others missing following the recent attack in Anguwan Rukuba.

“After gathering information from various Muslim families, we discovered that four individuals lost their lives while ten remain unaccounted for since Sunday, with their relatives reporting that all communication has been lost and their phones are switched off.”

The statement also indicated that the bodies of the deceased have been identified at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), and efforts are underway to locate the missing persons.
