Actor Jonathan Majors has shared that he is recovering adequately after an incident on set where he and a co-star accidentally fell through a glass window while filming. The occurrence took place earlier this week during the production of an unreveiled film project.
Reports indicate that Majors and actor JC Kiljoyne descended approximately six feet through a stunt window during a scene. Kiljoyne is said to have sustained cuts to his hands, necessitating stitches, although his representative stated he "did not feel unsafe on set and continues to have a positive experience working on the project."
Majors also provided reassurance to those concerned about his condition, stating, "I’m ok. I was happy to be on set and help tell the story. I am grateful for whoever is checking on me, the cast and crew for regarding our safety. It’s going to be a great movie and I am looking forward to fans seeing it!"
Sources close to the production explained that the fall was unintentional, with the actors' momentum carrying them through the window before a planned transition to a stunt double could be executed. They further elaborated that the sequence had undergone extensive rehearsal, but the stunt did not unfold as anticipated, characterizing the event as a result of "simple inertia."
Additionally, a special effects blood pack activated during the incident, which might have given the impression that the injuries were more serious than they actually were. The accident reportedly occurred amidst reported on-set tensions, with some crew members allegedly expressing concerns and engaging in a protest, although participation was not universal.
Despite the disruption, production officials have indicated that the set largely remains functional, with some personnel changes implemented following the dispute. While differing accounts of working conditions have surfaced, both actors have conveyed their sense of safety and their continued dedication to seeing the project through to completion.
