Student leaders at Kaduna Polytechnic have rejected allegations that the enforcement of the institution’s dress code is biased against any religious community, asserting that the rules apply uniformly to all students, regardless of their faith.
The leadership, which includes members from the Students’ Union Government (SUG), the Muslim Students Society (MSS), and the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), addressed the media at a recent press conference. They emphasized unity among students and warned against framing the matter as a religious conflict.
SUG President, Comr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Mai-Jama’a, stated that student organizations are united across religious divides and have come forward to dispel any misunderstandings about the dress code enforcement.
