An individual named Elisha Abbas Saku, aged 30, has been brutally killed, with reports indicating he was decapitated by assailants. The attack occurred around 10 pm on Thursday, April 16, in the Riwhie-Chwo area of Nzharuvo, situated within the Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area in Plateau State.
The Irigwe Youth Movement released a statement on Friday, April 17, confirming the incident. Joseph Yonkpa, the National Publicity Secretary for the group, conveyed condolences for the deceased and sought divine solace for the entire Irigwe Nation.
The statement detailed the horrifying event: "Yesterday night, 16th April 2026, gunmen ambushed and b£headed Mr. Elisha Abbas Saku, 30 years old, at Riwhie-Chwo, Nzharuvo, Miango District of Bassa LGA, Plateau State."
It concluded with a prayer: "May his soul rest in peace, and may God comfort the entire Irigwe Nation."
