A man was caught trying to entice a young girl who was selling avocados by offering her N1,000 in exchange for her company, with the intent to molest her.
This unsettling event occurred in southeastern Nigeria and was documented by a social media content creator, who became wary upon seeing the man talking to the girl.
When approached by the content creator known as LordZeus, the man falsely claimed to be the girl's father. However, the girl quickly clarified that he had approached her with a proposition to follow him to a secluded spot, where he said they could 'touch body' and he would reward her with N1,000.
The girl recounted that when she rejected his advances, the man brandished the cash, attempting to persuade her to accompany him.
As tensions escalated, a crowd gathered, with some men defending the perpetrator, arguing that he was mentally unstable. They stated that the girl was not the first child he had approached in this manner, saying, 'Leave him, he's not well. He's not well. This girl is the second person.'
In response, LordZeus challenged this defense, questioning how someone who is unwell could attempt to exploit a young girl.
The content creator further urged parents to refrain from sending their young daughters out to hawk goods, sharing that he himself had similar experiences during his childhood, where he witnessed the dangers faced by young female hawkers at the hands of predatory men.
A video of the incident is available for viewing below.
