Police in Kubwa, located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), are pursuing an individual named Markus Ismaila. He is accused of stabbing his elder brother several times amid a family quarrel at their home.
The injured brother, identified as Williams Ismaila, was taken to Kubwa General Hospital for medical attention following the altercation that occurred on Saturday.
According to Williams, during an interview with our correspondent, the confrontation arose after Markus consumed their elderly father's breakfast.
When Williams confronted Markus about the matter, he claims the suspect responded with insults directed towards him and their father.
Williams reported that their younger brother was also present during the incident and was initially confronted by Markus.
"He turned against him, engaging him in a fight, and when I tried to intervene, he pulled out a knife and stabbed me in about five different spots on my body," Williams recounted.
The other brother, John Ismaila, explained that he was at the back of their house when he noticed the disturbance and hurried in to help.
"When I entered, our younger brother turned on me and started fighting me. He then proceeded to stab our elder brother multiple times with a knife," John added.
Local police authorities have confirmed the incident and reported that Markus was apprehended at their residence in the Pipeline area of Gbazango, Kubwa, within the Bwari Area Council.
