Isiah Hayes, a 27-year-old man, was arrested in Jackson, Tennessee, years after being indicted for the alleged r@pe of a 9-month-old child. Authorities indicated that he had been evading capture since 2020, facing multiple charges including aggravated child r@pe, conspiracy to engage in aggravated child r@pe, and aggravated solicitation of a minor.
The incident for which he was accused involved a victim who was just an infant at the time of the alleged crime. On March 20, 2026, the Jackson police department's Major Crimes Unit, in collaboration with U.S. Marshals, caught Hayes following a tip-off from the Memphis Police Department, who reported that he had been spotted in the vicinity for several days.
Law enforcement officials successfully tracked him to a local housing complex, where he was identified standing at a doorway. The arrest was executed without any confrontation.
Hayes is presently being held at the Shelby County Jail as the legal proceedings unfold.
