The owners of the well-known Ado Bayero Mall in Kano have strongly denied rumors suggesting that the shopping center is for sale, clarifying that such claims are misleading and untrue.

In a public statement, David Okpanachi, the Mall’s General Manager, stated that the management has not authorized any individual or company to promote the mall for sale.

The management reassured that the mall's operations are stable and that the owners remain committed to creating a safe and high-quality environment for tenants, customers, and the broader community.

Additionally, the statement encouraged the public, potential investors, and business partners to exercise vigilance and avoid dealings with anyone claiming to broker a sale of the mall, stating that such claims are unauthorized and may be considered fraud.

All formal communications regarding Ado Bayero Mall will be routed through its management and official channels.

It is also important to note that the President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Ambassador Usman Hassan Darma, recently dismissed rumors circulating on social media about the mall being for sale. Darma characterized these reports as false and emphasized that the land where the mall is situated belongs to KACCIMA and is not intended for sale.

He explained that KACCIMA has leased approximately 11 hectares of land to Alpine through a Build-Operate-Transfer agreement that lasts for 35 years, after which the property will return to the chamber.

Darma indicated that an investigation into the source of the fraudulent sale rumors would be initiated, with the aim of taking legal action if necessary.
