Daniil Medvedev delivered an impressive display on Thursday, achieving a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Jenson Brooksby, which propelled him into his third semifinal in Dubai. This victory sets him up for a match against fellow competitor, Felix Auger-Aliassime.
The Russian ace, who has secured 22 career titles so far, is seeking to achieve a milestone by winning the same tournament on two separate occasions, something he has yet to accomplish. His previous Dubai victory was in 2023.
Medvedev expressed his satisfaction with his performance, stating, "I felt great. I know he may have dealt with some issues, possibly with his shoulder or elbow, but his first serve wasn't reaching its typical performance level." He is aiming to secure a second title this season, having previously won in Brisbane earlier in the year.
