On December 16, 2025, actress and filmmaker Regina Daniels revealed a conversation she had with Ruth, her domestic nurse responsible for caring for her two sons, Munir and Khalifa, while at the home of her estranged spouse, Ned Nwoko, a senator for Delta North.
In the exchange, Ruth indicated her resignation, stating that the atmosphere in the house had altered significantly since the 25-year-old actress had left.
Five weeks later, Ned Nwoko released a statement from another domestic nurse, Dora, who countered Regina's assertions. On Wednesday, Nwoko shared the contents of the statement on his X page, where Dora recounted her experiences during her time with him and Regina.
Dora's allegations were considered serious by Nwoko, and she began her employment with the couple in July 2023. According to the information Nwoko claimed she provided on January 9, 2026, Dora noted various troubling incidents that she had observed at their residence.
She reported that significant mood swings and behavioral changes in Regina started surfacing around September 2025. She mentioned that Regina began requesting that she purchase prescription-restricted substances and would sometimes inquire about lethal dosages of medications like morphine and pethidine.
One evening, Dora entered Regina's room to find dangerous opioids, anesthesia, and marijuana scattered on the table. Dora recounted being shocked to witness Regina empty a ketamine injection into a plate and instructing her to microwave it until it turned into crystals. Alarmed by the situation, Dora reported the incident to Nwoko immediately.
In relation to the domestic violence allegations made by Regina against her husband, Dora asserted that she had never witnessed Mr. Nwoko physically assault his wife. She emphasized that Nwoko does not engage in drinking or smoking and has never seen him harm Regina in any way. Dora acknowledged that the disagreements she was aware of revolved around Regina's drinking and smoking habits.
Throughout her employment, Dora stated that she declined to fulfill numerous requests from Regina, especially those related to drugs or risky activities. She clarified that she refused to prepare or administer any substances and instead acted responsibly by bringing the situation to Nwoko's attention.
Nwoko insisted that Dora's testimony bolstered his claims that Regina's difficulties stem from substance abuse. He alleged that Regina's conditions were exacerbated by her associate, Izuvegbu “Ann” Anthonet, who reportedly frequently procured and mixed drugs for her, contributing to the circumstances that led to her arrest and legal troubles.
Nwoko claimed that Ann Cassie had been charged with multiple crimes, including procuring an illegal abortion for Regina years prior, a matter Regina has previously alluded to in her social media posts, in addition to allegations of cyberbullying related to defamatory statements made online.
Nwoko further alleged that Ann caused the loss of their unborn child by making Regina consume a significant amount of marijuana, which resulted in her bleeding for several weeks.
This newspaper previously reported that the marital discord between Nwoko and Regina erupted in October 2025, triggered by Regina's accusations of physical abuse against her husband. Nwoko has denied these allegations, instead labeling Regina as someone battling substance misuse and vandalizing property.
Regina has undergone a drug test to clear her name, which returned negative results, contradicting Nwoko’s claims of her substance abuse. Nevertheless, he has rebuffed the test’s findings, asserting that their validity would be disputed in court.
As of this writing, Regina has yet to react to the latest claims made against her.
