A profound sense of grief has enveloped the relatives and friends of a Nigerian bride-to-be, Fausat Yusuf, following her sudden death just six weeks prior to her scheduled nuptials.
According to reports, Fausat passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, coming only a few days after she celebrated her birthday. Her death cuts short a joyous chapter that began when she accepted a marriage proposal from her fiancé, Jacob Gambo Kpasaba, back in June 2026. The pair had finalized arrangements to exchange their vows on December 19, 2026, with preparations already at an advanced stage.
Following the heartbreaking announcement, numerous friends and acquaintances who had eagerly anticipated the celebration utilized Facebook to express their shock and sorrow.
"They were counting down to 19th December, but death came first and took the bride Miss Fausat Yusuf away from the awaiting groom," shared Eli Obadiah in a poignant social media tribute.
Obadiah added further, "The gown was ready, the date was set, but she will never walk down the aisle. This is so heartbreaking to write. She was a bride- to-be, full of joy and dreams, counting down to her big day on 19th December. Her wedding dress was waiting, her invitation cards are everywhere, but sadly she will not be there to celebrate it. Instead of a wedding, we are now preparing to say goodbye.
"Rest in peace, beautiful soul. You will forever be remembered as our bride in heaven. Your smile, your kindness, your love will never be forgotten. Please keep her family and her fiancé Jacob Gambo Kpasaba in your prayers in this very difficult time."
