Chioma Onwuesi, a Nigerian woman, recently posted a nostalgic photo on Facebook depicting the day she accompanied her ex-boyfriend to a mall to buy beverages. Unbeknownst to her, he was engaged to marry another woman the very next day.
In her post dated Tuesday, March 17, she recounted the episode from a few years ago and noted that she has since moved forward with her life.
Chioma revealed that her ex-partner, who hails from Anambra State, mentioned that his mother had advised him against marrying anyone from Imo State.
"This was the day I escorted my ex to buy drinks at the mall, not knowing he was getting married the next day," Chioma shared. "I picked out most of the drinks he purchased. He disclosed the shocking news to me on the same day after capturing this photo. Why? Because he said his mother instructed him not to marry a woman from Imo State (he is from Nnewi)."
"Initially, I thought he was joking since I had dedicated myself to that relationship. He even called the other woman while I was present and put the phone on speaker."
"This occurred a few years ago, and I have moved on. I stumbled upon this picture while scrolling through my phone and felt compelled to share it with everyone," she concluded.
