The [Ogun Digital Summit (ODS)](https://www.ogundigitalsummit.com/) 2026 has opened its hackathon for applications from young developers, innovators and entrepreneurs across Nigeria, offering a total cash prize of ₦5 million for the three best teams. The event is scheduled for 25 November at the Ogun Tech Hub in Kobape, Abeokuta, as part of the summit that runs from 25 to 27 November at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto.
Key details of the competition include:
- A prize pool of ₦5 million split among the top three teams.
- Participation in six focus sectors: fintech, edtech, proptech and real estate, healthtech and telemedicine, agritech and food security, and AI/ML.
- Winners will also receive cloud‑computing credits, Zoho credits, workspace opportunities and an eight‑week mentorship programme.
- The hackathon is designed to continue supporting participants beyond the cash award, helping them develop viable products.
**What do the winning teams receive?**
Beyond the monetary award, the three leading teams will be granted cloud service credits, access to Zoho’s suite of tools, co‑working space options and a structured eight‑week mentorship that connects them with industry experts.
**Why is the hackathon focusing on young talent outside Lagos?**
According to summit convener Victor Adeleye, “the biggest challenge for talented young people beyond Lagos’ tech ecosystem isn’t a shortage of ideas. It is limited access to the networks, resources and opportunities needed to develop them.” The competition aims to surface promising innovators from across the country and provide a platform where their projects can attract meaningful support, moving the conversation from theory to tangible product development.
Since its inception in 2020, the summit has linked young Nigerians with technology leaders, investors and industry professionals. The 2026 edition will also showcase ecosystem innovations, host a main technology conference, facilitate networking sessions and culminate in a gala night for stakeholders.
Interested participants can register for the hackathon via the summit’s website, while registration for the broader event is handled separately.
