Ogun State Police Apprehend Suspect in Fatal Double Stabbing Linked to Business Dispute

Police in Ogun State have detained a 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, accused of fatally stabbing two individuals and severely injuring three others following a business transaction that reportedly went sour. The incident occurred in the Olámbe area.

Detectives from the Ajuwon Division in Ogun State have taken Abubakar Musa, a 25-year-old man, into custody in connection with a violent incident that resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to three others. The police allege that Musa attacked the victims with a knife after experiencing unsuccessful business dealings.

The victims were reportedly attempting to de-escalate the situation when the alleged assault took place.

DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the arrest, stating that the incident occurred around 1:38 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. "On Tuesday, 7th April 2026, at about 0138hrs, the suspect st@bbed five people. Two of them, Gbadamasi Ibrahim ‘M’, aged 25, and Chinedu ‘M’, aged 40, d!ed while being taken to the hospital. A doctor confirmed their de@ths. The other three victims, Mohammed Abubakar ‘M’, aged 35, Ashiru Adamu ‘M’, aged 25, and Paul Lawrence ‘M’, aged 25, are in critical condition but responding to treatment."

According to Oluseyi, the suspect fled the scene following the attack but was subsequently apprehended by detectives.

Musa is currently being held by the police. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and subsequent prosecution.
