He further elaborated that the smooth execution of the nomination phase suggests that the eventual selection of a candidate for the Awujale throne will be widely accepted by the community. Prince Olowu emphasized the importance of this process for the Ijebu people.

In his remarks, Olowu urged Governor Dapo Abiodun to maintain a neutral stance in the selection process. He advised the governor to allow the family leaders and the designated kingmakers to proceed with the necessary steps for choosing the new Awujale. He believes that the actions of all individuals involved in this significant selection process will be remembered by future generations.

"The vacant Awujale stool should not become a subject of political maneuvering, as Ijebu is a distinct and more enlightened community compared to many other ethnic groups in Nigeria," Olowu stated.

He also acknowledged and commended the members of the family for their adherence to the law. He conveyed a strong sense of assurance that the chosen successor to the Awujale stool would receive the acceptance of the entire family.
