President Bola Tinubu has extended his best wishes to the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, who turned 63 on January 15.
In an announcement made on Thursday by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Kyari as a dedicated statesman and distinguished public figure whose career has been focused on service, leadership, and nation-building.
The President reminisced about Senator Kyari's impressive tenure as Commissioner in Borno State, where he managed several ministries with exceptional versatility, competence, and a rigorous commitment to serving the public.
Tinubu noted, "As a prominent figure in our Renewed Hope administration responsible for Agriculture and Food Security, your innovative approaches and vision have advanced the sector, emphasizing mechanization as critical for enhancing productivity, achieving food security, and fostering economic resilience."
He further commended the Minister for implementing strategic reforms and policies, which have significantly reduced food inflation, stabilized food prices, strengthened supply chains, and transformed agriculture into a sustainable and lucrative industry.
The President also highlighted the establishment of initiatives aimed at promoting youth involvement in agriculture, thus nurturing a new generation of farmers who recognize farming as a viable career path.
Tinubu prayed for continued good health and renewed strength for Senator Kyari, wishing him success in realizing his vision of ensuring food sufficiency for the country.
