Spain has announced that Chattanooga, Tennessee, will serve as their base for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the city chosen as their team headquarters throughout the tournament.
The Spanish Football Federation revealed that the European champions will be stationed in Chattanooga, situated approximately two hours from Atlanta, the site of two of Spain's three group-stage matches. This city, which boasts a population of about 190,000, is located near the Tennessee River in the southern part of the United States.
As per the federation's communication, head coach Luis de la Fuente and his team will be lodged at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown, while they will conduct their training sessions at the Baylor School's facilities.
Having triumphed in the 2010 World Cup, Spain is set to compete against Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia in Atlanta on June 15 and June 21, respectively. Their final Group H match will be with two-time champions Uruguay, to take place in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Currently ranked as the top team in the world by FIFA, Spain enters the tournament as a strong favorite for the World Cup, which is set to be hosted jointly by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19.
