The original Arinzo, released in 2013, narrated the lives of two sisters whose divergent paths led to a police officer and a criminal life. Their choices drove a wedge between them, resulting in Arinzo's disappearance, with the public believing her to be deceased. This sequel poses a compelling question: now that Arinzo has reemerged, what are her true intentions?

Produced by Fespris Production, "The Return of Arinzo" sees Iyabo Ojo as the executive producer alongside Soso Soberekon and Abazee Productions. The screenplay is crafted by Moshood Yakubu Olawale, marking a notable effort in filmmaking that spans several African nations, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Tanzania, making it one of the most ambitious Nollywood projects of the year.

The cast boasts remarkable talents, with Iyabo Ojo taking the lead as Arinzo. She is joined by renowned actors such as Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Akintola, William Benson, Yinka Quadri, and Uzor Arukwe from Nollywood. The film’s pan-African aspect also includes contributions from Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang, Tanzanian musician Juma Jux, Priscilla Ojo, Nana Dollz, Patrick Kanumba, Prisca Lyimo, and Zuhura Othman. Supporting roles feature Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Lam Chudubem, Fola Tinubu, Azeezat Shorunmu, and Zainab Bakare, providing a rich tapestry of narratives surrounding crime, loyalty, familial ties, and pivotal life choices.

The premiere of this much-anticipated film is set for Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. It will also be showcased in cinemas nationwide starting April 3, 2026, with distribution by FilmOne.
