A catastrophic event during an Easter egg hunt in Satrupholm, northern Germany, has resulted in the deaths of a young mother and her infant daughter, along with a 16-year-old girl. The victims were fatally struck by a large, falling tree approximately 100 feet in length around 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5.

Reports indicate that the wooded area where the Easter Egg Hunt was taking place was under a storm warning at the time of the incident. Approximately 50 participants, including new mothers, expectant mothers, and staff from the "Sterni-Park" residential group, which supports young families, were present in the forest searching for Easter eggs.

Eyewitnesses described colourful eggs scattered across the scene amidst winds gusting up to 60 mph. Another young woman, aged 18, sustained severe injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital, where she underwent surgery.
