Onos Brisibi, a talented gospel artist and notable voice behind various Nollywood soundtracks, has died. She was 55 years old.
Brisibi’s remarkable vocals were part of classic films including 'Domitilla' and 'Blood Money'.
Her family released a statement confirming her death on Thursday, March 26, noting that she passed away on March 23, 2026, after battling a prolonged illness.
In their tribute, the family highlighted her deep Christian faith and the positive impact she had through her music. They described her as a cheerful and loving person, referring to her as "a beautiful and fun-loving woman with a heart of gold," whose contributions will always be cherished.
"The Brisibi family announces with deep sorrow the passing of Esteemed Sister Onos Nancy Brisibi, who transitioned to glory on 23rd March 2026 after a protracted illness," the tribute read.
"Onos Nancy Brisibi was a devoted Christian, an immensely talented singer, and an enthusiastic praise and worship leader whose angelic voice touched many lives as she shared the gospel through her music.
"She will be remembered as a beautiful, fun-loving woman with a heart of gold, whose faith, warmth, and kindness left unforgettable impressions on all who had the privilege of knowing her," the statement added.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Brisibi, her mother, siblings, an extended family, friends, and her church family at LoveWorld Ministries.
