US to Deport Invictus Obi and 17 Other Nigerians Identified as Criminals

The United States Department of Homeland Security has unveiled plans to deport 18 Nigerians included in its list of serious criminals. This announcement follows the identification of 79 other Nigerians destined for deportation due to various crimes.

The United States Department of Homeland Security has disclosed intentions to deport 18 Nigerians who are featured on its list of the most serious criminal offenders.

This action occurs merely a week after an earlier announcement regarding the deportation of 79 Nigerians convicted of multiple offenses.

A statement released on the DHS website on February 9, 2026, indicated that the 18 Nigerians had been convicted for crimes including wire fraud, solicitation of minors, mail fraud, and identity theft.

"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is featuring dangerous criminal aliens apprehended by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement," the statement stated.

"Under Secretary Noem's leadership, dedicated personnel from DHS and ICE are delivering on President Trump's commitment to execute large-scale deportations, initiating with the most severe offenders, which includes the illegal aliens highlighted here."

Among those listed for deportation is Obinwanne Okeke, known as Invictus Obi, alongside others such as Oluwaseyanu Akinola Afolabi, Olugbeminiyi Aderibigbe, Benjamin Ifebajo, Kolawole Aminu, Oluwadamilola Olufunsho Ojo, and Franklin Ibeabuchi.

The list also includes Alex Afolabi Ogunshakin, Joshua Ineh, Stephen Oseghale, Eghosa Obaretin, Adesina Surajudeen Lasisi, Ibrahim Ijaoba, Azeez Yinusa, Charles Akabuogu, Kelechi Umeh, Lotenna Chisom Umeadi, Donald Ehie, and Chukwudi Kingsley Kalu.
