Uzor Arukwe, a prominent actor in Nigeria, has reacted to rumors that connect him with the alleged marriage troubles between actress Bamike 'Bambam' Olawunmi and rapper-turned-actor Tope 'Teddy A' Adenibuyan.

According to a report by PREMIUM TIMES, the couple, who met as contestants on the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija labeled 'Double Wahala', tied the knot in Dubai in 2019.

Tensions regarding their marriage appeared to escalate when the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to speculations about a potential separation.

This speculation was fueled by an X (formerly Twitter) user under the handle Stay Wicked, who suggested that Teddy A had divorced Bambam after allegedly discovering that she was pregnant with Arukwe’s child.

Uzor Arukwe and Bambam recently starred together in the film “Love In Every Word,” where Arukwe played the character Odogwu and Bambam portrayed Achalugo.

Stay Wicked's tweet claimed: “BamBam has been reportedly divorced by her husband after discovering that she was pregnant with her colleague, who played the role of her odogwu in their recent movie.”

In response to the allegations, Arukwe, 42, labeled the rumors as unfounded in a statement shared on his X page. He stated that he would not reveal the specific account involved in spreading these claims, wishing to avoid amplifying the issue but strongly indicated that he would take legal action against the individual responsible.

“There is a particular account that has been identified for disseminating false rumors and baseless accusations regarding my professional interactions with another colleague in the field. I will not directly quote this account to prevent increasing their engagement while also safeguarding my own reputation,” he stated.

Furthermore, he added, “Let it be known that the individual behind these rumors will face consequences to set an example for others, emphasizing the need to respect boundaries and discourage attempts to tarnish someone’s reputation while seeking fame.”

As of this report, Bambam had not made any statements regarding the allegations surrounding her marriage. A check of her Instagram revealed no mention of the issue; instead, she continued to promote her upcoming films, “Without You” and “Alive Till Dawn”, along with other professional endeavors.

The rumors regarding their separation surfaced just days after Teddy A had addressed accusations of domestic violence on the WithChude podcast. He described such claims as false, shocking, and damaging to both himself and his family’s reputation.

In the podcast, he mentioned that the reports circulating on social media accused him of physically harming his wife, suggesting that the incidents claimed to have occurred during her pregnancy were fabricated.

Teddy A firmly denied these allegations, expressing that both he and Bambam were taken aback by them. He insisted that there was no discord in their household.

He recounted, “I woke up, went downstairs, and found my wife there enjoying a movie while she was pregnant and laughing. I checked my phone and saw my notifications surging. I was perplexed as I typically do not post content that generates trending discussions.”

He concluded, “As I read through the comments, my wife became upset, questioning who would do such a thing, which left her very emotional. I honestly couldn’t pinpoint the source, whether it was an ex or some maligning force trying to target me.”
