Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, has issued a warning to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing the importance of loyalty to the party.

This statement was made during the 107th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party in Abuja on Monday.

The minister noted that the gathering was convened in anticipation of the national convention scheduled for March 29 and 30.

Wike asserted that failing to demonstrate loyalty to the PDP could result in members being sidelined.

"After this NEC meeting, anyone who does not show commitment to the convention should not come back later and claim full allegiance. I will not accept that," he stated.

He highlighted the necessity for unity and urged the party's leadership to pursue reconciliation while fostering sincerity among the ranks.

Wike cautioned against unnecessary political conflicts and reiterated that politics should be approached strategically rather than treated like a commercial venture.

He expressed, "If you cannot engage in a battle effectively, do not initiate it. Politics is not akin to contract work; they are distinct areas. I did not enter politics to become a contractor; my goal is to wield power."

Concluding his remarks, he reminded members that their aspirations should align with the party's objectives and dedication to service.
