A young man was caught this morning, March 9, while illegally dumping refuse on a road in Lagos State.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources in the state, Tokunbo Wahab, shared this information on social media platform X, stating that the individual would be prosecuted.
‘During our early morning patrol today, we apprehended the individual seen in the video for discarding refuse on the road. The suspect will be charged under the environmental regulations of Lagos State. We will persist in enforcing these laws to guarantee adherence and uphold a clean and orderly environment,’ he wrote.
The incident has raised awareness about littering and environmental responsibility within the community.
This watchful effort by the state officials is aimed at ensuring cleaner surroundings and promoting civic responsibility among residents, emphasizing the importance of proper waste disposal practices.
