Additionally, he commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for allocating funds to boost the Multi-National Joint Task Force and other military initiatives, describing this support as crucial for ongoing anti-insurgency efforts.

Zulum expressed his gratitude towards Vice President Shettima for representing the President during a recent visit aimed at showing sympathy for the affected communities.

He asserted that since he took office in 2019, he has consistently exercised fairness and inclusivity in engagement with political stakeholders, reaffirming his strong loyalty to Shettima.

As the political landscape grows more intense, Zulum reminded the citizens: "I urge you all to merge your political interests with the pressing realities of our security challenges and the need for community stability. It is essential that our politics does not jeopardize the hard-won peace we have achieved. Therefore, I call on all aspirants and their supporters to prioritize Borno State's greater good over personal ambitions."

He reiterated, "Since my tenure began in 2019, I have ensured fairness and inclusiveness in my relationships across the political spectrum. My loyalty to the Vice President is firmly established."

"As a leader, I have welcomed everyone without reservation and have never betrayed the trust of members of the National and State Assemblies, as well as political officeholders from Borno."

Furthermore, he advised political actors to be cautious of those who might seek to exploit the current climate for political instability.

In looking towards the future and selecting a new leader for the state, he encouraged all citizens to pray earnestly for a capable successor, reminding them that authority is divinely granted.
