Apply for the PLAC 2026 Legislative Internship Opportunity

The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), with support from the European Union (EU), is implementing a 10-week full-time Legislative Internship Program for young Nigerians interested in gaining practical knowledge of legislative processes at the National Assembly.

Internship Overview:

Duration: May 2026 – July 2026 (10 weeks)

Location: Abuja, FCT

Hands-on exposure to legislative practice and procedures

Opportunity to learn directly within the National Assembly environment

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a Nigerian citizen aged 21–35 years

Minimum of a first degree from a recognized tertiary institution

Must have completed the NYSC Programme

Strong English writing and speaking skills

Good computer literacy

Excellent interpersonal skills

Logistics & Support:

Stipends provided to cover transportation and lunch within Abuja

Interns will cover accommodation and other personal expenses

Applicants should be able to reside in Abuja or fund their stay

No accommodation or relocation support will be provided

CV Requirements:

Must include:

State of origin

Date of birth

NYSC service details (place of service)

Add a Statement of Purpose (max. 300 words) on the last page explaining your interest

CV should not exceed 2 pages

Statement + CV must be combined into one document (max. 3 pages total)
