As per his account, the young man attacked, strangled, and stabbed his wife with a knife before making his escape.

Ummi Ahmed, a daughter of the victim, claimed that prior to the incident, the accused had expressed intentions of revenge due to a previous altercation with their elder brother, Musa, who had stabbed him the previous year.

"Last year, Ibrahim and our younger brother, Musa, had a fight where Musa ended up stabbing him in the stomach. He was rushed to the hospital, and while there, he promised to take revenge on either the deceased's children or their mother. Today, he has fulfilled that threat," she recounted.

"A nurse had warned us to be cautious, indicating that his remarks were concerning."

Ummi further noted that their mother had been caring for Ibrahim during his time in the hospital.

"She was his caregiver and looked after him until he was released. Despite her generosity, he went on to commit this act against her."

Investigations highlighted a previously strong familial connection; the suspect's father was raised by the deceased after his own mother passed away during his childhood. In gratitude for the care he received, he welcomed her into his home and treated her as his own mother until his death.
