Roosevelt Ogbonna, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, has commended the Ogun State Government for cultivating an environment conducive to business, which has been instrumental in drawing investors to the state.
Ogbonna made these remarks during a visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun, accompanied by a group of high-ranking bank executives.
He stated that Ogun's policies have achieved more than just attracting investment; they are actively promoting collaborations focused on achieving sustainable development and a shared vision for the state's progress.
The CEO of Access Bank also recognized the significance of the Gateway International Airport project, characterizing it as a major undertaking that demonstrates strong leadership and strategic foresight.
"I am immensely proud. Ogun State has made it a regular occurrence to demonstrate to Nigerians what a functional democracy entails," he commented, emphasizing that the conversion of concepts into concrete infrastructure reflects the government's dedication to high standards.
Ogbonna conveyed his satisfaction with the bank's contribution to the airport project, reaffirming Access Bank's commitment to financing ventures that stimulate economic advancement and growth.
Governor Abiodun, in his response, referred to Access Bank as a dependable partner in development, acknowledging its readiness to support the state's aspirations from the initial concept through to completion.
"They grasped the vision from the very beginning and provided their backing. A vision without financial support is merely an illusion," the governor remarked.
