Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan has addressed the criticism he faced after his recent appearance at a gathering supporting President Tinubu.
Aremu and several other actors were recorded chanting 'on your mandate we shall stand' in praise of the administration led by Tinubu.
In response to the considerable backlash, he reached out to Nigerians with an apology. "To all Nigerians, please forgive me. The criticism has been overwhelming," he expressed.
The actor further clarified accusations leveled against him, asserting that he did not receive any payments from anyone. He stated that his remarks stemmed from sincere concerns regarding the current situation in the country.
"I didn’t take money from anyone, and it’s evident that there is insecurity, while the government hasn’t done enough," he remarked.
