Reality star Khloé Kardashian has declared she is "beyond done" with her former husband, Lamar Odom, following allegations that he married her for personal advancement.
The contention arose from the Netflix documentary "Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom," where an acquaintance of Odom asserted that the ex-basketball player had indicated he married Kardashian in 2009 to "better his future" through her influential connections.
Addressing the issue on her podcast, "Khloé in Wonderland," Kardashian did not mince words. She described the accusation as "insane" and voiced her disappointment over her involvement in the documentary, especially given the alleged sentiments expressed by those close to Odom.
"You're asking me to be in your documentary and behind the scenes, you and your friends are all saying you were with me just for fame? That's some fked up st. I feel so dumb. I spent hours and time doing this documentary as a favor. I'm not paid one penny," she stated.
She further accused Odom of attempting to portray her as dishonest and undermine her credibility, particularly concerning his recovery following a near-fatal overdose in 2015.
"For years, he was singing my praises. You're not now gonna st on me and play in my face because you don't like the reaction and the response from the public," Kardashian added. "He's trying to sort of slander me a little, which frustrates me."
The reality star also criticized Odom for what she deemed "violating" behavior, citing his past display of a sex doll designed to resemble her, an act she characterized as "gross" and an attempt to gain attention.
Additionally, she questioned his apparent lack of accountability within the documentary's narrative. "Your overdose was 11 years ago. You're telling me you've got nothing positive to show at the end of your documentary?"
Kardashian and Odom were married between 2009 and 2016, experiencing a highly publicised relationship that even included their own reality show. Despite their separation in 2013, Kardashian provided support to Odom during his health crisis before their divorce was finalized.
While Odom has publicly acknowledged past missteps and recently indicated he is approaching 60 days of sobriety, this latest dispute suggests that unresolved tensions persist between the former couple.
