Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has expressed strong condemnation and called for the arrest of social media influencer Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO. The actress is demanding action over allegations that Blessing CEO falsely claimed to be suffering from cancer to solicit financial aid from the public.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Onuoha articulated her serious concerns, stating that Blessing CEO's actions go beyond mere attention-seeking and have crossed into significant fraud. She highlighted that by falsely asserting a diagnosis of stage four breast cancer and appealing for donations based on this claim, Blessing CEO deceived compassionate individuals who offered financial support.

Onuoha emphasized that such deception constitutes calculated financial exploitation, and insisted that all funds collected under the pretext of a serious illness must be returned. She further pointed out the grave issue of allegedly using a falsified medical report, noting that medical professionals have reportedly come forward to state that the circulated report does not belong to Blessing CEO, and another physician has corroborated this, raising concerns about forgery and identity misuse.

Describing the situation as criminal and unethical, Onuoha rejected Blessing CEO's explanation of the act as a "test" of affection. She asserted that genuine love is not demonstrated through manipulation, falsehoods, and financial exploitation.

The actress stressed the damaging impact of such actions on public trust, particularly affecting genuine patients battling life-threatening illnesses. Onuoha argued that incidents like this erode public willingness to assist those in genuine need.

Consequently, Onuoha urged the Nigeria Police Force and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the matter thoroughly. She stated that if the allegations are proven true, Blessing CEO must face consequences including full restitution and legal accountability.

Concluding her statement, Onuoha firmly declared that the situation is not a form of entertainment or social media drama, but rather a serious offense involving a breach of trust, exploitation of public goodwill, and a violation of public trust. She labelled Blessing CEO's alleged actions as unconscionable and something that should not be overlooked.
