The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Sunday released an updated roster for its Convention Committee and associated sub-committees, in preparation for the party's national convention slated for April 14.

According to a statement from the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in Abuja, the revision aims to bolster coordination and guarantee a fair and orderly convention process.

The party had previously announced its National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing Liyel Imoke, a former governor of Cross River State, as its chairman and Aminu Tambuwal, the senator for Sokoto South, as vice-chairman.

The revised convention committee comprises 16 sub-committees. These include groups responsible for logistics, elections, accommodation, venue management, security, finance, media and publicity, delegate accreditation, and welfare, among others.

This announcement comes two weeks after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rescinded its recognition of the David Mark-led national leadership, following a ruling by the Court of Appeal.

Despite this development, the party has affirmed its intention to proceed with its planned congresses and national convention.

The convention is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the same day the Supreme Court is set to hear an appeal filed by Mr. Mark. His appeal seeks a stay of execution on the Court of Appeal's March 12 judgment, which formed the basis of INEC's decision.
