The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has made public the timeline for its nationwide congresses as it approaches the National Convention scheduled for April 14, 2026.

This announcement came in a joint statement from Prince Chinedu Idigo, the National Organising Secretary, and Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary.

According to the statement, Polling Unit and Ward Congresses are set to take place on April 7, 2026, followed by Local Government Area Congresses on April 9, and State Congresses on April 11.

The sequence will lead up to the National Convention of the party on April 14, 2026.

The ADC has urged its members who wish to contend for vacant positions to obtain and submit the necessary nomination or expression of interest forms via the official ADC website.

The released statement serves as the definitive schedule of events for the ADC’s 2026 congresses and the National Convention.

"This series of activities is part of the party’s constitutional duty to refresh its leadership at various levels, starting from the polling units and wards, progressing through local government and state levels, and culminating in the National Convention," the statement elaborated.

Members interested in vying for positions at any level within the party are advised to download, fill, and submit the required forms through the party’s designated platform.
